View Full Version : Photoshop expert needed
I have a headshot that needs some minor touchups.
It's at http://www.bodieslikeours.org/pub/betsy1.jpg Specifically, I'm looking to see that spot on the bridge of my nose go away and some smile wide teeth whitening. I can pay at most $25 for the bit of time it would take to make the 'corrections' and can send a print quality photo if necessary. Contact me via PM if you are interested.

:) Hi, I am a photographer and freelance photo editor. I work daily retouching portraits, product photos, advertising photos etc. I use advanced photoshop techniques to make good photos into stunning images. My photography website is www.nextwaveimaging.com I am also in the process of building another website geared towards photo and video editing. That address is www.prophotoeditor.com it is currently not accessible as I am having problems getting it up at the moment but hopefully I will have it up later today or tomorrow. I can easily fix your portrait and at the price you requested. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to get that portrait perfect and ready to use right away! jamye@nextwaveimaging.com

Hi Betsy. Here you go. (http://s92454869.onlinehome.us/betsy2.jpg) I went ahead and also made you a blonde, hope you don't mind (just kidding!). Let me know if the pearly whites are too much :)

I'm not a Photoshop expert, but I play one on MS Paint. I think this looks more natural. http://www.polisource.com/PublicMisc/TVB_TOUCHUP.gif
Hmmm... not exactly what I saw before I converted to gif, but ok for MS Paint.
You guys are great...thank-you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Late to the party but here is my effort:

I think it looks more natural. Your teeth are whiter (but not too white) and it is more naturally color balanced. In the old pix there was a yellow cast to the whites in your eyes and also your beads. I think it was the pix itself that was at fault - not you!

oh dear. overkill on the teeth whitening. need to tone that down...
need to tone that down...
Less tea may do that...
When I quit smoking, I had to give up coffee and turned to tea instead. There should be a warning on the box :\

Your teeth are whiter (but not too white) and it is more naturally color balanced. That's what I find so tricky about color correction, especially for portraits. I originally changed the white point more toward the blue to take away what felt like a red cast in general, but decided that I wanted to keep the warmth in the skin tones. Boosting the green in the foliage seems to balance it out for me.
I don't see any yellow in her eyes, but I'm in the process of calibrating my system, so I'm not totally sure that I'm seeing the real colors yet. As soon as I get the printer profiled tonight I'll print this and see if I'm in the ballpark.

I cheated and asked Betsy for the full-size camera file, so my version is a little bigger. ;)

It needs an animated twinkle on the tooth.
