Hi all,

I received a request several days ago and, upon following up, think that this client's needs would best be served by another company. It is possible that someone here at FQ is capable of handling this request. Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think.

Me: "Hi, I'm following up on your email correspondence."
Client: "Thanks for calling back. You're one of the few companies that's actually responded to my request. I need to host blogs for hundreds of commercial clients"
Me: "Does each client need his/her own domain name or would a subdirectory be sufficient? Would these sites be strictly business in nature? Would any have adult content?"
Client: "Subdirectory is fine. All sites would be business sites and no adult content."
Me: "What is your budget?"
Client: "Budget? I don't have a budget... I just need to know how much it will cost!"
Me: "Are you looking for any specific features?"
Client: "Simpler is better. I've already tried to get cooperation from the popular blogging providers, but none of them are interested in commercial use of their services... they only want individuals."
Me: "I have a solution that could be adapted for your specific needs..."
Client: "I don't want to invest in adaptation. I want a turn-key solution and a quote for development of a custom template."

So, this client needs a turn-key solution (ready to go) that I don't have. Any FQ resellers have such a solution? I'd like to provide a recommendation, if at all possible.

Thanks,
Matt

I'm no blog or web development expert, but I'm thinking that the largest FutureQuest account might be able to handle it. It would depend on the amount of diskspace required and number of files per client. If a turn-key solution isn't available but wouldn't be difficult to create, then maybe creating it with the hope that you'll gain a client is worth it. What you create might be reuseable, and might not me much more difficult than creating that custom template that the client wants.

... And why would the client care if there is an extra charge for customization? It's the overall cost that counts, and it sounds like she/he doesn't have many options.
