thenxtgeneration.com is the full account; creativeimagesphoto.net is the IRM. I've marked which are alias accounts and which are POP accounts.

I have an autoresponder set up for the IRM. See if you can follow me here:

Form on http://www.creativeimagesphoto.net/contact.html
sends mail to cip_form@thenxtgeneration.com (alias)

cip_form@thenxtgeneration.com (alias) is an autoresponder, set to reply to the sender and send a copy of the mail to carri@creativeimagesphoto.net (alias)

carri@creativeimagesphoto.net (alias) forwards to creativeim@webtv.net (POP), which is where my client picks up her mail.

It is getting to the webtv.net address, which is correct, but a copy is also going to webmaster@thenxtgeneration.com (alias) each time, too, which is undesirable.

Anybody know why? And how to stop it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sara,

This probably is the result of using the Pre-Installed cgi-sys/mailform as it will show webmaster@thenxtgeneration.com as the sender. What you are probably seeing at the webmaster@ address is the autoresponder as it doesn't appear that folks submitting your form are getting one. At least I didn't in my test.

This thread may be of some assistance:

Hope this leads to Nirvana ;)

Righty-o. I'm just going to use my trusty AlienForm, then. The link you pointed me to refers to an older version of formmail and the instructions aren't quite as clear-cut.

Thanks for clearing up the "Who's on First" issue. %)

Hi again Sara,

Using any version of a mail form script locally installed should allow you to customize it for your needs :)

Just for information purposes the same changes used for Matt's 1.6 version can be made in 1.9 formmail to achieve the same desired effect.

Good luck,
Bob
