Hello!

CNC indicates that one of my email users has 11 Mbytes in his IMAP (QuestMail) "Sent" folder. He swears that he only uses POP, not IMAP -- and indeed his POP disk usage seems normal, with a few incoming messages from time to time, typically read and deleted within a day.

Can anybody help me with:

1. How can I delete the IMAP contents without messing up the read or unread messages in his POP folder?

2. Should I worry that something bad is happening (e.g., that his mailbox has been hacked and someone is using it for untoward purposes -- perhaps even as a source of spam, as indicated by the large "Sent" file???)

3. Is there any way to disable the IMAP folders without affecting the POP functionality?

This is the only mailbox that has this problem, by the way. All the others are normal.

Thanks, folks!

Cheers,
Bill P.

Hello Bill,

You would be able to log into their QuestMail account using their email address as username and the associated password.
http://QuestMail.FutureQuest.net/

This would allow you to see what exactly is in the Sent folder. After seeing what they were you would be able to delete them directly from QuestMail.

Accessing the email account in this manner would change any Unread email to be marked as Read however you can immediately reset them to Unread again using the CNC Email Manager.

Hope this helps,
Bob
