Hi,

I just wanted advertise my programming services to the futurequest community. I run http://chicodigital.com and http://boardreviews.com here on futurequest.

I can do simple things like installing and customizing scripts, and also do full custom web applications. I've been a Perl/CGI specialist lately, but I've done mySQL, Java, and a little PHP, also. Actually, most my programming experience has been in C...

I've been a professional software engineer for over ten years and I've been using Perl since 1994. I spent five years in engineering groups at SGI (Silicon Graphics) and also spent four years writing graphics drivers at Scitech Software (www.scitechsoft.com). I worked for Walmart.com as a Perl developer last year.

Look at my web content management application, Web Tool, on http://chicodigital.com. It's a sourceforge.net featured project and it's highly rated on cgi-resources.com. It's completely free, released under the GPL license, and it's well-suited for small businesses and organizations. Take a look at the demo and check out the source code.

I'm willing to give a fixed price quotes for small projects. I've just started doing independent contracting, so I've been charging very reasonable rates... email me and let me know what you're trying to do, and maybe I can help you out, or at least give you some advice on where to start.

thanks,

-alan

Hi,

Just wanted to plug my services again. During the school year I'm a graduate student, but this summer I have dedicated to working full time with clients. My rate is $25/hour. Some recent clients: http://betterpills.com and http://japanesecarimports.co.uk. My web site builder/content management system has a rating of 9.38 out of 10 on cgi-resources.com. I can install most Perl/CGI for $25 to $50. <end of plug> :)
