Hmm, isn't your CNC already password protected?
Dan
I'm not sure I understand why you would want to further protect your CNC? It's already protected through your root username/password.
Could you expand a little please?

Having a DUH day!

Funny this comes up, because this week I was wondering if it is possible to change this password ?!
Because I don't like my password 'exposed' through the web. Whenever you can guess the 'root'-account name (obvious when looking in the ubb, I guess most ppl have the same ubb-name as their account), it is very easy to do a brute-force attack to get the password.

[ Note: it is your browser that gives up after 3 guesses, redirecting you to the 401-page, not the server. ]

I guess most ppl have the[nbsp][nbsp]same ubb-name as their account Do you really think so? I don't, and until you brought it up, I never thought about it. I still don't know if I think that "most" do, although now I suppose that[nbsp][nbsp]some do!
