I'm getting more than annoyed.[nbsp][nbsp]I have a domain - eunice.com.[nbsp][nbsp]I hardly even use it.[nbsp][nbsp]It overlays my personal site - marbledog.com.[nbsp][nbsp]I owned it for a couple of years before I even set the e-mail up so that the eunice.com mail defaults to me.

So for the past several months I have been getting volumes of mail addressed to "variouspeople@eunice.com" - it all defaults to me.[nbsp][nbsp]NOW someone is using the domain to send spam mail and I'm getting all this hate mail from the spam recipients.[nbsp][nbsp]I have no idea how to find out who all is using this because obviously I can't send them an email - it will just default to me.

Any suggestions?[nbsp][nbsp]I'd really like to figure out how to stop all of this.

Thanking you in advance, behind and in perpetuity.

It sounds as though somebody has changed their mail software to say that the mail is coming from eunice.com, which is too easy to do.[nbsp][nbsp]

To start figuring out the source of the spam, you need the e-mail headers.[nbsp][nbsp]To help with the e-mail headers, you'll find that http://samspade.org/ and http://www.spamcop.com/ are useful resources.

Hopefully with the headers you can figure out where the e-mail originated, you then need to contact the ISP, and possibly get the police involved.

Good luck...

Thanks -

I'll have to ask the people sending me hate mail because of the spam to send me a version with the full headers. I know too little about the laws on this stuff - is what they are doing really illegal?[nbsp][nbsp]Cool.[nbsp][nbsp]I was just going to track the spammers down and kill them but maybe I'll press charges instead.[nbsp][nbsp]Might be a little less messy.

Changing "From:" feilds is way too easy. Who's there to stop this madness!?

Good luck with your spam issues. I've read how avengent spam victims can be in Wired mag when they talked about the infamous Spam King awhile back... this guy was getting death threats and funky phonecalls daily!!!

Not to scare you or anything... :þ
