How Did They Send This Email To Me?
You may receive email, especially spam, that does not seem to contain your
email address in the usual address fields, and wonder how the email was delivered
to you in that case.
When sending an email to someone, it is not required to list the email address
in the To: or Cc: address fields. Email can be sent Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy),
which means that it is sent to someone without listing the email address in
the usual address fields of the email message.
You should be able to determine to which address the email was sent by examining
the full email headers. The FutureQuest® mail system inserts a Delivered-To
field into the message headers, and reviewing these fields will indicate the
intended recipient of the email.
